Monuments to visit

  • Built with red and pink sandstone, Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds has this pyramidal shape and the palace gets its name from always being windy, thanks to the presence of several windows and jharokhas. For the best view of the monument, head up to Wind View Cafe across the road and enjoy chai and pakoras.
  • The City Palace is famous for its art and architecture. The palace continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family with their 500-odd personal servants.
