Buvanesh Tharashankar is the Chief Financial Officer at RBL Bank. He is a career banker with over 28 years of experience in leading business analytics and planning, audit processes, policies, and controls.

In his previous stint, Buvanesh has worked with Jana Small Finance Bank, where he was the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the Finance function including Investor Relations. He has successfully led re-engineering and cost management initiatives. Prior to Jana, he was with Citi for over 26 years, in various leadership and senior positions. His last assignment with Citi was of a Cluster Controller for South Asia, covering India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, driving statutory audits and regulatory inspections, local regulatory reporting, legal entity management, Annual ICAAP exercise and Balance sheet controls.
