Google Pay is a simple and secure payments app built for India by Google. Pay bills, Buy at online merchants, Recharge your phone or pay at the nearby shop with Google Pay.
Now everyone in India can also make various merchant payments using their RBL Bank Credit & Debit Cards added on Google, protected by Google security.
Benefits
- Encrypted and secured by Google: Google Pay protects your card payment info with multiple layers of security using one of the world’s most advanced security techniques. Google Pay uses a process called Tokenization to replace sensitive Card information with an alias called a token. This ensures that your sensitive Card information such as the 16 digit card number and CVV are never shared with anyone, including other apps and sites.
- Convenience to pay at stores: You can use your added cards on Google Pay to make purchases at your favourite shops without the hassle of carrying your physical card. You can simply tap to pay or scan to pay via Bharat QR at any accepting merchant store.
- Seamless online payments: You can also use your added cards for seamless payments to do mobile recharges and pay at supported online merchants. All this without having to remember or enter your cards details across multiple apps/sites.
Where all can I pay through Cards using Google Pay?
- Tap & Pay: Pay* with just a tap! When you’re ready to pay at a merchant outlet, just unlock your phone and hold it near the merchant card machine until you see the success check mark on your Google Pay app. It’s as simple as that.

on the POS machine which signifies NFC enabled. Also ensure NFC is enabled in your Mobile Device.
*Enabled for payments less than INR 5,000. - Scan and pay with Bharat QR: Wherever you see a Bharat QR in shops, just scan the QR code using the scanner on your Google Pay app to pay.
- Online Payments: Checkout in a few clicks on online merchants#. Skip entering your card details each time you pay on select merchant sites. Just tap on Google Pay at checkout and pay with the card you have saved on Google Pay.

Add your Card to Google Pay
Step 1
Login to Gpay & tap on Bank Accounts & Cards
Step 2
Select Add Card & enter Card no., CVV & expiry date
Step 3
Enter OTP & you're ready to start transacting
Online Merchant Payment
Step 1
Select Google Pay as a checkout on the merchant app
Step 2
Select your RBL Bank Credit / Debit Card & click on proceed to pay
Step 3
Enter OTP sent on your mobile number registered with the Bank & your payment is done!
Tap & Pay
Step 1
Merchant initiates the transaction on their Card machine & enters amount
Step 2
Wake up your mobile home screen & hold it near the Card machine. NFC needs to be on.

Payment is made using default card set on Gpay
Scan & Pay via Bharat QR

Scan the Bharat QR code displayed at merchant outlet & enter Amount

Select your RBL Bank Credit / Debit Card & click on proceed to pay
