Prakash Gupta

Chief Compliance Officer

Prakash Gupta is the Chief Compliance Officer at RBL Bank. He has over 26 years of experience working in the banking and financial services sector. During his professional career, he has been the Head of Compliance at Barclays, Credit-Suisse and Rabobank. He has also worked in varied capacities across banks and financial institutions like Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank Ltd and Edelweiss. Prior to joining RBL Bank, he was the Chief Risk officer with ECL Finance Ltd. In his past role, he was responsible for an oversight on the NBFCs and other regulated group entities. He holds strong domain knowledge in Compliance, Banking and Para-banking Products Development, Branch Operations, Loan Recovery, Forex Management, Credit & Enterprise Risk Management, and Client Servicing.

Prakash brings rich experience of actively working with several regulators and quasi regulators (in India and abroad), representing the views of the sector on various issues, more particularly in the context of customer centricity, technology, compliance, and governance which has become very important in the present dynamic environment.

Prakash holds a Master’s Degree in Economics.
